Anika went upstairs to check to see if Bennett was home when she caught Candace in her room on her computer.
“What are you doing up here?” Anika asked. It looked bad, but Candace was such a sweet and innocent girl. There was no way she was doing something sinister.
“I was just… the couple who adopted Noah sent me pictures of him, I’m sorry to invade your privacy.” She exited out of the screen quickly and hustled out the door. Anika went after her, hoping they could talk it out.
