For all their talk of comradeship, they’re not the nicest to Sai. I don’t think Sakura’s entitled to tell Sai what exactly he’s supposed to feel about his brother. It’s really not up to you, you don’t know him or his situation.
Why is Sai a jerk specifically in this scenario? I understand when he insulted you, but other than that? He’s talking about something clearly personal and in a way that’s not untoward, so why call him a jerk?
Hmmm, I don’t know. For now, I don’t think I like the way they’re treating Sai. He was definitely rude by attacking them for no reason, but a lot of their friends have introduced themselves like that ngl. I think the biggest issue that they take up with Sai is him badmouthing Sasuke. I mean… sure, yeah. But why exactly would Sai have anything good to say about him? I bet not many people in the village would either. Look, idk, maybe I’m being biased because I like Sai and how refreshing he is but,,, Naruto blows up at him when he succinctly explains his reasoning for not assisting him. It’s not even done in a particularly rude way and Naruto gets irritated at him and says, “I will never accept you as a comrade or as a member of this team.” For better or for worse, I don’t quite read Naruto as a “kind” person (maybe he’s not intended to be). So far, Naruto has only extended empathy in only the most specific situations, ones where he can relate his own situation to them (pain and loneliness are recurring).
Fuck how much I hate Naruto, everytime I see him badmouthing Neji during his match with Hinata I want to punch him so badly in the face -would you just SHUT UP already
