Oh, this might be the Glitchtrap that kept waving to me while I was playing Help Wanted a month or two ago! I was wondering why he was being so friendly! /j /lh
[Boi, I wish. Real talk: Good AU characterization, OP. Wouldn’t surprise me if there was a “risk“ of that if Fazbear Entertainment ever released the game past the Beta. I wanna give this version a hug and maybe a plush friend for the road. :(]
He did try to connect with people before he eventually had to leave his version of the game because multiple glitchtraps that didn’t defect caught onto him, then he started universe hopping (already explained how that went.) and now he’s in a sort of internet limbo. Watching from the safety of that limbo. So it’s highly unlikely you’ll find this Glitchtrap specifically again, and I doubt the glitchtraps would allow for another defect.
I wouldn’t worry though. I think Shadow bonnie has an offer to make him soon enough, and I’m sure the people in that Arcade will take care of him…
My Glitchtrap isn’t exactly the happiest version of him.
My glitchtrap is a concept where a Glitchtrap figures out that there is indeed other universes. So he makes copies of himself and everything that makes him ‘Afton.’ Eventually one of the copies defects, and decides he doesn’t want to be an Afton, or have anything to do with him. He keeps the name William, and basically deletes every memory and piece of himself that makes him an Afton.
Problem is he underestimated the amount of universe’s that would actually believe he wasn’t Afton. Lets just say it wasn’t pretty everytime he tried to make a reality his home, because they would always find out what he was meant to be, and ignore what he is trying to be now, which he doesn’t even know what he is without the Afton part of him, but he’s trying to make it something.
He suffers the consequences of the person he never wanted to be in the first place…
