The featured antique in New York Cottages & Gardens’ Fall Style issue is our mid-18th-century armillary sphere by French globe maker Louis-Charles Desnos (magazine page shown left), under the title “Orbit of Influence.” The full page article quotes George as to “what makes it special”: “This is a particularly early example of an armillary sphere by a famous maker. It was produced during the Age of Enlightenment, when astronomy was considered an important component of a well-rounded intellect.” George also notes it is unusual to see an armillary sphere of this age in such good condition.  June 28: THE ARTBOOK IS OPENED FOR WORLDWIDE ORDERS

I’m very honored to be invited to this wonderful project! The work on the spread took lots of time: 2 weeks and 4 days of productive hard work. I was REALLY REALLLY EXHAUSTED once I finished it. Felt like “No, guys, it’s unbelievable! I’m done with it!” hehe xdddd

Before starting, I made a list with themes I like the most and chose the ones I’d LOVE to draw on that stage. Armillary spheres, seas, gold and wood! The treasure maps ** Aaaah all of these came to my mind really fast x'dddd Unfortunately, I don’t have the OCs who’re witches or somekind magic beings, so I designed two totally new characters for the book. Under the rules, you couldn’t draw only the witchboy, for example (because witches are used to be females), so I decided to create a girl as well in order to be accepted. Cartographer Sorcerer and Camellia Witch are waiting for you on the pages of this wonderful artbook! *v* 300 pages of magic!!! Can’t waaait to hold it in my own hands :“’///3

Can’t say how grateful I’m to my handler E-X-P-I-E, helping me out to make the pictures look better! ** And they really are! I feel like I got my art skills to the next level thanks to her advices and help! ;www; Also special thanks to @sae-midori for checking out the grammar in my translation :’3

I made a special texture for Sorcerer’s hat. However, the map on the table was drawn separately from scratch.

Also there are several close-ups in order to find something unnoticed at first sight.
