Greetings, Soulmates. It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for … Application Day!
Applications are officially OPEN from now until April 5th, so if you’re a writer, artist, or cosplayer, please fill out one of the apps below to leave your soulmark on our zine!
A quick reminder of some base points here:
We’re looking for a maximum of 15 writers, 30 artists, and 5 cosplayers to fill out our zine!
All Teen Wolf characters and pairings, exceptKate/Derek and Jennifer/Derek (so long as they are not incestous and are of legal age, meaning that minors in a romantic relationship will need to be aged up to 18+), are welcome!
This is a SFW zine; we’re rated PG-13. Please check out ourguidelinesfor what exactly that means!
This is a soulmate zine.Allsoulmate AUs are welcome so long as they’re SFW!
Once contributors have been selected:
Artists will be asked to submit one completed illustration—full color optional. Art must be CYMK. Comics ARE allowed, but if you plan on doing a comic, please keep in mind it’s first-come-first-serve. To keep our page count down, we’ll be accepting only a small number of comics.
Writers will be asked to submit one story with a maximum of 3,500 words (plus a 100-word leeway if needed).
This is a split-profit zine, meaning that 50% of post-cost profits will go to charity, and the other 50% will be divided equally among staff and contributors, provided we have enough to do so!
Because the zine is split-profit, we ask that contributors be 18+ to apply, so as not to conflict with Paypal’s guidelines.
Writers will need to submit three fics, one must be Teen Wolf, with a minimum word count of 500 and a maximum word count of 3,000 (with a small leeway of about a hundred words).
Artists will need to submit three pieces of fanart, one must be full color, and one must be Teen Wolf.
Cosplayers will need to submit three photos, ideally not selfies, and one must be Teen Wolf.
We eagerly welcome zine pros, first-time ziners, and anything in-between, so please don’t hesitate to apply!

For a portfolio, we’re asking for a google drive folder with at least 5 of your best works, as well as your social media links. This is applicable to all applicants (artists, writers, merch artists); the content of said folder will later be specified on every category.
*Please, make sure your google drive folder has the share option activated, or else we won’t be able to review your application.*
We will also be asking for some pitches in your application. In this section, we ask for ideas of what you would be able to create for the zine. This does not have to be final, but getting a gist of your idea will help us have even more variety in this zine!
Artist Guidelines
- Please submit samples that are similar to the style that you will be using for the zine.
- Make sure that all your pieces are finished, and that at least one of your pieces has a detailed background, and at least one of your pieces include 2 or more people.
- It is preferred if you include a drawing of a magical girl, or a shoujo piece in your portfolio so that we are able to estimate what your style for this zine could be like.
Writer Guidelines
- We ask that all samples have a word count of 2 – 2.5k. This is to allow the mods to review all pieces. You can use standalone pieces (one shots) or excerpts of longer works, from either posted works or pieces that haven’t been posted yet.
- The pieces in the portfolio aren’t restricted in length.
- It would be preferred if at least one of the samples fits the theme, but it is not a requirement.
Merch Artist Guidelines
- All your pieces have to be finished, and of a similar style of the merch that you are planning to create for the zine.
- If you apply to both Artist and Merch Artist, please make sure you change the samples you apply with.
- It is preferred if at least one of your samples is a merch design.
