That one time Sogno wanted to have a long hair. ♀️✨
Sogno is my lute spirit bard - kind of like djinn of the lamp, but with a musical instrument instead. They’re very young and full of emotions.
To modify Sogno’s appearance, the magic on the instrument itself needs to be modified and it can be only done by a very powerful artificer. Orinim originally tells Sogno straight up “No.”, since “Doing that is difficult and unnecessary. And you will get bored of the new style in couple weeks and ask me to change it back.”
but after couple tantrums and lots of crying, she gives up. And Sogno gets to tell all the people that they’re not a lady instead of a mister, like they usually do.✨✨
Anyways, Sogno gets bored of the new hair in couple weeks and asks her to change it back.

Start of a Sogno comic I never got to finish. After this part, the man takes the lute to show it off to his friends and plays with it his favorite song, “Baby baby” from Justinus the Halfling. This gets Sogno obsessed with the song, as they have never played anything but very boring classic music before.
But after Sogno pops out from the lute and shows themselves to the man, the man realises that the lute is a spirit instrument made by Orinim the artificer. He panics and runs to return the lute right away, as in their town Orinim is infamous for killing thieves first and asking questions later.
And so ends Sogno’s first - but definitely not last - runaway attempt. After about a dozen of them, Orinim ends up writing on the lute “I’ve ran away. Please return me to Orinim the Great.” The message also shows up on the back of Sogno’s human form.

Bunch of Sognos! ✨✨ I realized I had never uploaded these on tumblr.
Sogno is my lute spirit bard. They’re very young and very hot headed - which is why they don’t really get along with their maker, a small but very powerful (and bit scary) gnome artificer lady called Orinim.
Sogno can manifest a human form and walk and talk, but will be brought back inside the lute as soon as it is played. Also they’re very keen on finding “the perfect bard” to play them, and accidentally got obsessed with song “baby baby” from Justinus the Halfling, which everyone else thinks is a trash song.
