Hal could not believe that out of everyone for his protege to bond with it had to be with Robin, the angry assassin Bat kid. He thought for sure she would bond with Wonder Woman (they both have connections to the Miraculous), Zatanna (magic), or even Nightwing (sunshine personalities). Nope. It had to be the assassin. Why do they get along so well? Blue Starr is kind and peaceful and not a brat while Robin is snarky and stubby and a complete brat! Why do they get along?! Is this an opposites attract kind of thing? Is that what is going on?
Hal groans as his runs his hand down his face after collapsing on his couch. He takes a deep breath and the yummy scent of fresh baked bread comes in. Marinette must be up and baking breakfast. When Marinette set out to follow the path of a Lantern Corps the first thing she did was look for someone to teach her so she went to America and used her rings to look for him. He was expecting her. When he saw that she was just a kid, he instantly took her in with her parent’s blessing (they talk on the phone once a week and video chat once a month). She went to school online and took her training very seriously, even made some animal friends along the way. When he took her to the Justice League to introduce her, it was wild.
Everyone wanted to know who she is, what she could do, how she was able to wield two different Lantern Rings. Batman even wanted to know who she was. But that all stopped when Marinette gave evidence that she was once Ladybug. She instantly got Wonder Woman and Aquaman on her side. Batman wasn’t happy that she took care of entire city by herself (plus her partner) as kids but he relaxed when he hears that she came to him for training that she didn’t get before. Nightwing was impressed by her moves, Red Robin loved her creative thinking, Red Hood was asking if there was anyone he needed to get rid of for her, and Robin was asking if he could pet Dex-Starr and Little Loaf.
Speaking of the Bat family, “You still going over the Bat’s place today?” Hal asks as he gets himself some coffee. Dex-Starr and Little Loaf are sitting against her legs as she gets their breakfast after finishing making their breakfast. She hands him a plate and answers, “I’m going after breakfast since I don’t have anything planned today.”
“Mind if I come?” He asks.
Marinette raises an eyebrow, “I thought you don’t like the Bats?”
“I got to know why you two get along so well!” Marinette just laughs at his grumpy shout.

“WHY DO THEY HAVE A HOUSE THIS BIG!??!” Marinette cries as they drove up to the grand mansion. Stupid rich people! Hal can’t help but laugh at her reaction.
Dex-Starr is purring in Marinette’s arms. “Are we here to have fun?” Little Loaf asks as they get out of the car.
“Yep!” Marinette smiles as she moves towards the door without disturbing Dex-Starr’s nap. Hal knocks and an old man that must be Agent A answers.
“Hello Mister Hal. You must be the one known as Blue Star.” He smiles at them.
“Hello Sir, I’m Marinette. This is Dex-Starr and Little Loaf. Nice to meet you.” she smiles as he lets them in.
“I am Alfred Pennyworth. You may call me Alfred. There is no need for sir.” He leads them to another room where the boys are just simply causing chaos for the fun of it.
‘Plagg would love these guys.’ she thinks as Alfred clears his throat and instantly gets their attention. The boys look over a see a beautiful girl Damian’s age with long dark hair, amazing blue eyes, and two animals companions with her.
“Please tell me you’re our new sister!” Dick shouts from above them.
She giggles and shakes her head. “I’m Blue Star. I’m here to spend time with Robin and his animals.” She looks at all the boy until her eyes fall on Damian and she smiles so sweetly that he blushes, “Hi Robin.”
“Damian.” he corrects.
“Damian.” she repeats and Damian has to hold back a moan. ‘My name has never sounded so good and that voice!’ “I’m Marinette. You said I could come over and meet your animal friends.”
“Yes!” he says quickly and then clears his throat. “Yes. Follow me, you’re going to love what I have.”
The brothers stare after them in amazement. “Oh he’s a goner.”
