A little treat for @himetsundere since she wanted to see some Mimato writing from me set in the Kizuna timeline.

Just landed.

Once the delivered receipt appeared under the text that she had just sent, Mimi smiled and turned off the screen of her phone and slipped it in o her dress pocket. The group chat had been buzzing relentlessly since the past few days with the sudden increase in Digimon related incidents, and she was glad that her schedule allowed her to be back in Tokyo, as she wanted to help out with the problems as much as she could. Even if she did always skip through Koushiro’s lengthy explanatory messages and waited for Miyako to send her a tl;dr on the side.

Mimi readjusted the strap of her pink and white striped shopper on her shoulder and lined up in the immigration queue, knowing well that her message would get lost in the thread of all the Digimon related updates and there was no point in expecting a response. Once all the entry procedures were finished and she could finally make her way to the arrival lobby, she felt her phone vibrate strongly, not once but twice. Curious, she pulled it out of her pocket with ease, having no luggage to look after except her big handbag, and wasn’t surprised to find a message from Sora.

Welcome back. Come see me soon, Mimi chan.

She swiftly typed up her reply, letting her friend know the days she had set aside for catching up with her. Once she exited the chat screen, the next message she had received almost made her trip on her feet out of surprise. At the top of the chat screen was Yamato’s name, with a red bubble indicating that she had two unread messages from him. It was odd because the blond wasn’t much of a texter and the two usually stayed in touch through emails, and even more so because when she had recently announced her plan to come back to Japan on the group, he had been the first one to move on from the topic and onto discussing the Digimon incidents.

Nevertheless, she still tapped on his name and read the message.

Still at the Airport?

Stay there.
