Ergo, in the “ranks” of the Earth Guardians, the Gamma Defenders were second-in-command, so to speak. They were comprised of the gliding reptile Varan, the giant dinosaur Gorosaurus, the burrowing monster Baragon, and the aquatic dinosaur Titanosaurus. They also held a special role in the Kajiu Empire; the Gamma Defenders are to act as the “designated survivors” of the Earth Guardians. Should the Alpha Guardians, despite their immense power, fall victim to opposing kaiju, they are to come out of a temporary hiding and take on the roles of the Alpha Guardians in their absence.
