I have a headcanon that when firebenders laugh or smile with joy they radiate sunlight, but it’s so rare to see those emotions outside the fire nation because traumatized soldiers are the only ones people see, so when Sokka makes a dumb pun at the Western Air Temple and Zuko starts giggling everyone besides Aang is just like “you’re glowing????!” And can’t get him to stop laughing. Meanwhile Sokka is also blushing because “wow, that smile, oh my gosh what are these feelings–”
