The poisonous Man-Eater Fruit and its natural predator, the Spiderbat. Much like the Pitcher Plant, Man-Eaters produce a thick scented syrup to attract prey and can absorb anything into their slimy bodies (up to the size of a small child) depending on the stage of development. Once fully developed, this fruit takes on a horribly disfigured human-like shape and becomes HIGHLY destructive and sentient. Spiderbats are the only known species capable of consuming this fruit and protect the environment by controlling their population and growth

Ao Ao is one of the monstrous children of Tau and Kerana in the mythology of South America’s Guaraní people. Resembling a monstrous sheep with large fangs, he is known to howl excitedly as he pursues victims. It is this distinctive cry that gives him his name.

Ao Ao is seen by some as a spirit of fertility, as he has had several of his own cursed children. He has a strange aversion to palm trees, and climbing one of these can sometimes save you if you are being pursued by the monster.

Abugbear is a boogeyman from English folklore. Often said to resemble a monstrous bear, it is said to lurk in the woods. It is often used by parents to frighten young children into behaving.

In modern English, a “bugbear” is a pet peeve. However, the original etymology translates roughly as “frightening” or “goblin bear.” It has been integrated into the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game as a hostile goblinoid creature.

Gi-Hoveg is a Great Old One from the Cthulhu Mythos. Created by author James Ambuehl and first appearing in the 1996 short story The Advent of Uvhash, it is perhaps one of the least understood Great Old Ones.

Described as an amorphous, anemone-like mass with soft flesh that is covered in spines and eyes, it is the enemy of Uvhash, the Blood Mad God of the Void.
