I forgot to post about how, a few weeks ago, I got up early on a Saturday morning to go watch the sun rise with mom. She goes to the same spot pretty much every morning, like the bad ass earthy energy healer mama that she is. To her credit, there’s nothing quite like it. 

Afterwards, we went out for a breakfast. My favorite part of having breakfast with my mom is that she orders a side of bacon to eat while she decides what she’s going to have.
