WIP: Joris

Finally, I have decided for the name for my smiley fella.
Some of my rambling about sculpting process under read more. ^_^’
So firstly, let me talk about the name. Joris is the tenth son of the main Baltic deity Perkūnas and adopted son of another main deity Velnias. He himself is the deity of spring, fertility and first thunder.
Woking on him was so frustrating, sometimes. I had sculpted and re sculpted, added and removed nose, ears and mouth numerous times. Every time I used a mirror, I wanted to cry. The more symmetric I tried to make him be, the more asymmetric he became. Just a week ago, I wanted to throw him in the trash bin and start anew. I am happy I had not done it, though. One day, solution to my problem just popped in my head that I am removing and adding in the wrong place. After that breaking point, everything started to go the way I wanted. Right now, the expression is just right: smiling eyes, plump lips with a small smile.
At the end of this week, I will spray primer on him and smooth all the rough parts. I have already started on a body for him. After priming it too, finally, I will be able to work on joints.

WIP: JORIS
So after a month or so of silence from me I can finally show some results. I had to resculpt almost everything, but results left me more that content.

I am not dead.
I wanted to post about him a long time ago. I have started to sculpt him in 2015 spring. He is my long running project. 2016 year was not very productive for me. I have barely sculpted anything.But this year i plan to finally finish him.
He is made of darwi Roc, an air drying clay. He takes 12mm eyes and is a SD+ head.
