Exploitation filmmaker Jess Franco’s supernatural take on films like Witchfinder General and Ken Russell’s The Devils, French-Portuguese 1973 film Les Demons. Voyeuristic and fetish packed, and more watchable than the similar Mark of the Devil, Les Demons reminds me more of something from the mind of late 18th century author Matthew Lewis.
