hello hello! real actual blorbuscon merch is now a thing you can have!

currently this design is available as stickers (requested by @sprachgitter), mugs (requested by @kallistoi), and clocks (because it’s round and I think I’m hilarious), but if there’s anything else you’d like to see, I’ll put that up there!

For all the people inquiring about merch: This is where you can find it.

[image description: three pictures from redbubble of a white mug with a white design in a blue circle. the design reads, “I survived blorbuscon 2022” and is surrounded by squiggles as well as the tumblr “t.” all of this is within two concentric circles. end image description.]

not to get emotional about the fake classics meme conference on main but im so,,,,

honestly one of the hardest things about not being in classics academia anymore has been losing some of that camaraderie and joy from just. being around other people as weird and goofy about the ancient world as you are. blorbuscon really brought me back to those days. i cannot stress how AMAZING it was to actually see some of the people ive been chatting with on here. you guys are hilarious and BEYOND talented and this is definitely a highlight of my time in the tumblr classics community

i had a lot of anxiety about showing up (same reason why i dont join a lot of discord servers or group chats) but this was SO MUCH fun and im so glad i attended. im definitely going to try to present at the next blorbuscon if i can but also. im just gonna try to chat with yall more bc youre great people!!

so thankful to @en-theos for bringing to light the “bury your goddess” trope in mythology that has often been disregarded by previous scholars
