I am nothing if not stubborn. Took a while, but finally got a little fish to take a fly from this urban pond

In the continued saga of sunfish doing strange things, I present another hybrid sunfish. I believe this is my first Bluegill X Longear Sunfish hybrid

Enjoying some lazy spring fishing. It is nice to not have to be totally bundled up to go out and catch some fish

Right as I parked my car I head thunder roll overhead. Managed to get one fish before the storm arrived and forced me back in the car

Biscuit and I made a trip to a lake with a small population of Yellow Perch (spoiler: we still haven’t found them). The lake is infamous for having small bass, but it still made for a fun day off work

The little fish are finally moving back into the shallows and have a rather aggressive attitude. The bigger fish still seem to hiding in the deeper parts of the lake. But these little fellas are still fun on 2 lb test line

The Bluegill still seem to be sporting their winter colors
