This one is for my DJ’s! I want to talk about some of my alltime favorite NYC BOOTLEG 12-inches. That’s right—boots. These are some of the records that never left my bag when I first started doing Hamptons nightclubs in the early 2000’s. Yeah yeah, I know pal, you only play originals but STOP FRONTIN’! When you were first starting out, it was all about value and, in the pre-Serato days, maximizing space in the crates! Ahhh, just looking at these deliciously tacky labels brings me right back to riding the LIRR into “the city” and Brooklyn to hit Rock & Soul and BEAT STREET RECORDS ( RIP) for the latest bootlegs and white labels.
