And tonight, I realised

that you

are one of the only places

that I can call “safe”.

When I am scared, whether that be

stupid fear, spider fear,

or something deeper like,

“I’m scared I’m going to wither away, a stem

too far from the light to sprout its buds, let alone petals,

let alone full grown flowers,”

it’s you I call. It’s you I’m not afraid

to be afraid in front of.

And I’m goddamn terrified of what I think - what

I know - that means.
