They’ve been darting around the living room all day today. They’re getting much better at steering!

Today was flying practice day.
Oni has been on every cabinet, ladder, bookshelf, curtain rod, and picture frame in our living room

Kappa flew three times today, and hung out with mom and dad on the bird playground for a little while.
Oni can now realiably reach the seed bowl and has spent most of this afternoon sitting in there, alternately eating and napping.

Oni likes to nibble on all toes, including their own
Not pictured: Oni flew for the first time today! They had to be rescued from the top of the bookshelf, then went back into the nest and took a nap

Kappa loves to eat pellet powder
Oni loves to eat toes. They nibble on the toes of mom, dad, and sibling whenever they get the chance >>
They’ve been wandering out of the nest more lately to sit on the perch next to it, and Kappa sat at the bottom of the cage for a little bit today eating from the pellet dish down there

Kappa loves to eat. Oni loves to chew on things.
Also pictured: Oni’s first attempt at climbing! (I had to help)

They both ate a lot of pellet powder today, and they both regularly pop out to sit on the edge of the nest. They practice flapping a lot now. <3
Also, they now officially have names! Little Peep is Oni and Big Peep is Kappa. Welcome to the family, sweethearts. :>

Growing up fast. They both ate some pellet powder and a couple of seeds today. They’ve been sitting on the edge of the nest more, too.

Little Peep has taken to standing on the edge of the nest.
They fell out last night and were puttering around the bottom of the cage when we uncovered them this morning, but they seem to be doing okay
They tried grated carrots today, which is what’s stuck to Big Peep’s beak
