Okay so the part of Vlad’s backstory where he’s obsessed with Maddie and is being a total incel about it? Whack, terrible, hate it (hate the fact that it’s played for laughs half the time even more but that’s Butch’s problem not mine) but the part of Vlad’s backstory where he hates Jack for causing the accident hits differently post covid. (well, we’re not post covid yet but you get what I mean)

And I’m not saying that Jack is a terrible person for doing that or that he deserves to die about it because it was an accident (and a stellar example of why you shouldn’t have food or drinks in the lab) and honestly Jack is a good friend and if Vlad had bothered to try and talk to them then they could’ve made up.

But maybe it’s the part where I walked out on my old job after they exposed me and several other employees to covid via negligence and breaking city and state law to host a maskless wedding attended by about a hundred of their rich donors, maybe it’s the part where I spent the three months that my state was anywhere close to a real lockdown in my room like a responsible citizen, and maybe it’s the part where I actually got covid (due to the exposure previously stated) over the holidays in 2020 and didnt have any in-person contact with anyone for two weeks as a result on top of being constantly anxious and hypervigilant about my symptoms because I didn’t want to wait to go to a doctor if they got more severe than they did and even though I had a mild case I’m still experiencing health problems that while I don’t know if covid caused them they certainly weren’t there before I got it, but if my best friend, even through negligence, had put me in the hospital with a rare condition that nearly killed me and apparently has the possibility of coming back decades later so it nearly killed me twice, I’d probably want revenge too.
