oberon regularly being called prince instead of king already gets me but morgan’s “i’m a witch after all :)” battle line really gives me terminal utena brain what if the girl who failed to become a princess and therefore became a witch was the prince who was supposed to save everyone what if the girl who became a witch refused to be the prince who became the end of the world and instead became the queen who preserves the world at all cost. what if the prince was born a witch what if the end of the world was the witch trying to be the prince. nobody will be saved and nobody will be forgiven but still we cannot let go of the fairytale prince we once dreamt of.
I can now almost understand this post after watching Utena!
