Armored Lady Monday
the armor part of the lady! as you can probably see or guess, i have devided the drawing piece by piece so i can work on the movement of everything else little by little and i decided to start with the thing that was probably gonna take the most time, which is her armor and clothes, you will probablly see the details on this evolve week by week aswell as i find them
this is what i like to call “the sudden realization of all the shit you have to do” process of animation, where you wake up from the fun haze that was doing the rough sketches and moving them around not caring what lines you went over, and get hit with the reality of, is time to WORK

i hope you like this animation because you will see it grow until its finished monday by monday, i havent animated in a loooooong time and i wanted to unrust my abilities!
so as both practice and a gift from me to myself for my upcoming birthday im drawing this little animation of my paladin dnd char Caelynn!
starting with something a liiiiitle bit more than an animatic or maybe just a second pass animatic, to me this is one of the most fun and challenging stages of animation, most fun because there is posibilities as to what the animation will be, and the challenge comes from the exact same reason, this is the time where the most “research” comes to, the timing and how your character will move, aswell as, and not limited to, finding people doing the thing you want to animate or doing it yourslef, and the rest of the process is to polish polish polish polish until you have something that hopefully looks alive, i hope you like it! and hope you look forward to the process of this future little animation

something i wanted to try today a bit of a more free form drawing, not caring as much for anatomy as it probably shows, ill be doing these for the next few weeks

for now i will call this one done, i may come back to it on the middle of the year to add some shadows, some highlights, but i also miss drawing different things on monday hahaha

we are back on Caelynn’s animation, today i wanted to test out the moving keyframes for clip studio and they are pretty good! tho it took me longer than i wouldve liked to make them work.
but as you may be able to see with her braids, the movement of the braid links are way smoother than everything else so i may need to retouch a bit of every other part to see with the movement tool so is not as jarring hahaha
regardless, i hope you like it!

back on my bulshit, now with her actual hair and not the weird look you get when you are animating a thing by parts
not a lot of progress today tbh, im prepping for a move so productivity is p low, but the hair i think is a pretty big step

we back on the animation boyos, today i did the face and eyes, something that taught me something about animating in clip studio
the thing that it taught me is that animating in clip studio is hard, specially if i wanted to do the markings on her face, i didnt run into this problem before since all of her clothes and hair from previous weeks where more clearly separated
but i hope you like it!
