I cant stop thinking about the hospital scene where Cam was saying how he felt guilty about the situation Ferguson was in, because he was hotheaded and acted rashly… When Ferguson was absolutely pleading to him that his anger is a good thing for the line of work he is in, he’s gotta be a little angry, a little out of control…. I just - I could not agree with Ferguson more.
Cam is ashamed for who he is for being hotheaded, acting rashly but what he doesn’t understand is that he is acting on his whole ass heart. He is motivated by how he feels, and he acts upon his feelings within the moment - because that’s who he is. That’s what Ferguson was trying to tell him.
He shouldn’t be ashamed, not even the slightest. Cam, he just, he loves his friends so much that he acts impulsively rather then logically. He uses his anger in moments it’s needed the most because that’s what he believes is the right thing to do. Sometimes, using your anger to do something good (save Teal’c) is all that is needed - right there and then.
The moment I got up to (before my laptop died) was Cam running amongst the gunfire, being entirely reckless mind you, to save Teal’c - but using the love, anger he feels on the behalf of his friends to save them.
He acts on his whole, giant heart and would sacrifice himself to save his friends - his found family.
