Texas Yang headcanons
The youngest of five and the only one that isn’t a girl.
Goes by they/them.
They have no sense of smell.
They can spit the farthest out of all the burners.
They are in just black shorts 90 percent of the time.
They let Dutch paint temporary tattoos on their skin. The tattoos are mostly drawings of dragons.
They collect glass and make cool marbles out of it.
Listens to Kesha too loudly.
Always has snacks, they especially like fruit gummies and banana deluxe jelly cubes.
They can cook really well but don’t do it often because it reminds them of their rude grandma.
Has a giant scar on their arm but can’t remember why.
Can style long hair pretty well from practicing on their sisters since young. Sometimes they are allowed to style Dutch’s hair.
They grew up watching power rangers and the 80s ninja turtles. They have the figures of many characters all over their room.
They really like writing poems and short action stories. Their stories are just mindless fluff filled fun with explosions, fist fights and found family. They let Mike read them sometimes.
They do have a small fan base and they like going through the comments on bad days to cheer themselves up.
Likes being inside boxes. Their bed is basically a coffin with the softest blankets known to man. It does mean that they hit their head sometimes when the alarms go off at night though.
They are usually the one to nag mike to take care of himself. It has a fifty percent chance of working.
The first time they drank water from deluxe, they choked.
They were the outcast of their family and school. Everyone else seemed mundane and had a rigid goal to which they strived. But Texas just wanted to live a peaceful life and have friends. to have wiggle room for the future, to explore and adventure before turning brittle. To learn on their own terms, to get their hands dirty and be able to look life in the face and say “you’re mine” with love.
It was the main reason they fell in love with junior when they were in high school.
Texas was rowdy, energetic, optimistic and so unabashedly themselves and junior thought they were so cool. Junior was a lot more timid at the time but it didn’t take long until he was comfortable enough to the point he was burping in Texas face without a care.
Junior spoke of a future where they would move out together and build a mobile home so they could travel all over motorcity. how they would adopt a kid and have a wedding ceremony and everything.
“Just because you want to live your life as a freak doesn’t mean I do” is a sentence that to this day twists in Texas chest. they convinced themselves they were over it. it never happened, they never knew that guy, he’s just some jerk that picks on them. just some stranger.
Chuck is the only one that knows Texas was dating junior but that’s because he’s the one who found Texas crying on the garage floor and hugged them through it.
