Saleucami is a weird planet. Warm, arid, cracked and dusty in a way. It’s a wonder anything can actually grow here. We landed a few hours ago, Rex wisely choosing to park the ship at the far edge of a field of some type of crops and waiting for night to fall before leaving. Just in case. As far as he could remember, the planet was neutral, no separatist droids, no republic - well former republic - presence. We could never be too careful now.
I padded behind him, gripping onto the straps of a pack filled with enough supplies and weapons to last us at least a few days. With a surprisingly shiny blaster I’d found on the shelves in our room tucked into a makeshift holster at my hip and a hooded jacket covering my face, we journeyed through the swaying crops under this planets moon.
Rex had been quiet from the second we landed, probably worried about the state we’d find his brother in. The chip activating could’ve done any number of things to Cut, never mind what could’ve happened had it made him turn on his family. I shuddered at the thought, desperately hoping we weren’t heading toward more tragedy. I don’t think Rex could take any more. Not right now.
I wrote over 1.5k words so far, came up w a title, and mayyyyy have made a header for it. Not planning on it being a love triangle but it’s still gonna have some angst lmaoooo
