Jean Antoine Injalbert’s four sensual four sensual caryatids can be seen flanking the entrance of the Chappaz hotel in Béziers, France. Joseph Chappaz was a successful wine merchant who specialized in fine vermouths. When he had the hotel built for his wife Augustine in 1868, he commissioned Injalbert to create the four sculptures that grace its facade. Sadly, the unoccupied hotel has long since fallen into disrepair. One hopes the good people of Béziers take measures to preserve Injalbert’s sculptures.

Another DnD commission for @ethereal-ineffability!

[Image Description: Digital artwork of two DnD characters. They are crouched behind some large rocks, taking shelter from some magical strikes coming from off-screen. Centered in the drawing is an aasimar paladin. She is light-skinned with chin-length black hair and white wings. She wears silvery-white plate mail with gold accents (a cuirass, pauldrons, gauntlets, and greaves) over a dark blue shirt, gloves, and pants, brown boots, and a brighter blue base/skirt edged with yellow and embroidered with a simple wing-and-cloud motif. She holds her sword ready in both hands as she looks over her shoulder towards their attackers with a serious expression.

Hunkered down beside her, farther from the action and sheltered beneath one of her wings, is a human man. He has light freckled skin and short reddish-brown hair. He wears a brown hat, a dark blue vest and white shirt, black pants, and brown knee-high boots. He wears a pair of large circular glasses and clutches a book to his chest. He is staring at the aasimar with a mixture of worry and awe, and blushes faintly. /end ID]
