Here’s a wild one I just finished! It’s a solid copper 4-in-1 t-shirt I made for a very cool electrician. To make it, I used scraps of 4/0 copper wire (19 strands of 12 gauge in each) that he provided! The process was like this. I un-spiraled the wire strands, wrapped each around a 1/2” diameter rod, cut the links by hand from that coil, and then assembled all 4,000+ links. This beast weighs about 28 pounds!
