You had helped bring the dragons to Hogwarts for the Triwizard tournament seen as you worked with your husband, Charlie, in Romania, caring for them. The two of you had kept with the dragons, keeping them calm in the cramped conditions they were forced to stay in whilst you waited for the first challenge. No one involved in the tournament was meant to know that dragons were involved but seen as Hagrid had brought Madam Maxime to meet the dragons, there seemed to be a break to the rules.

“Really romantic date, Hagrid,” Charlie scoffed as he looked at the Beauxbatons headmistress and the groundskeeper of Hogwarts.

You shot your husband an unimpressed look, not knowing how he could make a comment such as that with his track record.

“Do you even remember our first date?” You questioned. “This isn’t romantic but taking me to pick up an illegal dragon in Scotland and sneak them into Romania, is considered romantic.”

Charlie rolled his eyes. The two of you had been friends for quite a while and finally admitted that you liked each other and decided to go on a date when he was called for the illegal actions. A date had finally been arranged and you were just about to go out for dinner when he was contacted to help smuggle a dragon to save it and the current owners from prosecution for being illegally in the UK. You hadn’t been back to Hogwarts since you graduated but there you were back at school, helping your date smuggle a dragon across borders.

“I wouldn’t say that it was romantic, but it was definitely endearing, wasn’t it?”

Sometimes Charlie annoyed you, especially when he was right, and you didn’t want him to be.

“I’m pretty sure it’s the only reason I married you, love,” you retorted.

Charlie playfully shoved your shoulder, making you stumble slightly in your place. Even if he was infuriating, you wouldn’t have married him if you didn’t love him dearly. Thanks to him and your job, which he had helped you get into as well, there certainly wasn’t a boring day and you couldn’t thank him more for making life far more interesting than the impending war that was starting to consume your every thought.

“You know that isn’t true,” he stated. “You also wanted a job working with dragons.”

You chuckled at your husband. “That was also helpful.”
