Hey@walmart let’s talk about price gouging.

This morning individual oranges were 93c each. I got 3 pounds for $3.72. But one aisle over in the rack, 5 pound bags were $9.48. Not like we’re in a food desert either. This is Mid South USA. Knoxville.

Hey, let’s talk some more!

2 years ago, Buffalo wings were $3.99 a pound. They’re the only thing I can eat from your deli case bc I have to be gluten free.

During the pandemic, they went to $4.97 a pound. Then to $9.97 a pound!! What the actual hell! But no it gets better.

I went to get wings. You can’t buy them by the pound now. They are by the 6, 12, or 20. I said, ok, 6.

THOSE 6 MINISCULE WINGS cost $7.87!! I weighed them and WITH the container they were 0.53 pounds. We have 9.5% tax on groceries… meaning that those wings are now over $17 a pound.

Before gentrification, wings were an almost waste product that used to be practically given away at 49c a pound.

WTF these aren’t Filet Mignon.
