December 21- Christmas Past and Childhood Memories

Young Derek met little Stiles during the last week of Christmas rush shopping. He found Stiles on a verge of tears in some bookstore. Before Derek could even put the crying kid on the lost and found center, Stiles kept saying he doesn’t want to go but he has to find the book- no two books. Knowing the kid will not budge, Derek has no choice but help the kid. It took them 3 hours the kid is quite a big talker mentioning about his mother and the books they read together. Hearing the kid talk made Derek smile as he keeps listening until they managed to find the books(which is Bridge to Terabithia and The Princess Bride). Young Stiles thank Derek for finding the books and told him now he can read these books with his mother. Hearing it, he felt so happy to help the kid then Stiles’ father appeared looking frantic and relief when he saw his son. He thank young Derek for spending a day with his son. The older boy reassured him he didn’t mind as he mentioned why Stiles was desperate looking for these two books. Now Stiles’ father almost choke up as he reveals the reason why Stiles doing it is because his mother is actually in the hospital.

As the father and son left, Derek watches them go in hope they would meet again.

15 years later, Derek met Stiles again in the library/bookshop without realizing Stiles the same crying kid whom he spent 3 hours looking for two books.
