Here’s a few sneak previews of a children’s book I’ve been working on. Mia London’s Perfectly Perfect Pajamas by Dean & Atasha Scott follows an adorable little girl’s quest to find (and keep) the “perfect” pair of pajamas. It’s also commentary on how hard it is to find kids’ clothing that feature children of color.

The book should be going to the presses by the end of the summer. In the meantime, be sure to check out Cocoa Mocha Kids to purchase themed pajamas, and like/follow them to stay up to date on products designed specifically with children of color in mind.

If children of color have to be aware of the realities of racism, white children should too.

I’m tired of hearing that white children are too young to understand the consequence of their words or actions when for nonwhite kids they live with the impact of racism every day
