To cut on cost, the school decided to change the wrestling team uniform from an expensive spandex to this much cheaper mesh singlet. The team objected with the decision, but they could not do anything about it. They begged if they could at least wear something underneath, but the sport guidelines required them to go commando. Needless to say, the attendance to their wrestling meets had suddenly doubled, to the embarrassment of the (practically naked) team.
