Ok so regarding Chrissy and Eddie…..there are so many amazing things to dissect in that short woods scene oh my god. Here’s where my brain kept getting stuck:
1. Chrissy says “No, it’s not that. I don’t want you to go” when Eddie packs up after she gets startled by the squirrel. This one is a bit self-indulgent and more of a joke than anything but I had to list it lol
2. When Eddie reminisces about the talent show, he says her cheerleading routine was “pretty cool, actually.” Think about it! Jason probably loves the fact that she’s a cheerleader, but only in the way that it relates to HIM. She cheers for HIM, she looks cute in her outfit for HIM, she smiles for HIM. Eddie purely liked her talent! He recognized that she was out there performing something she worked hard on for HERSELF. And Eddie thought it was cool within its own right. Swoon.
3. Eddie calls Chrissy a “freak.” Chrissy’s expression afterwards is priceless, her little smile and cute laugh. Imagine! She has to be perceived by EVERYONE, family included, as being well put together, clean cut, and absolutely normal 100% of the time. How FREEING must it have been to be called a freak? To no longer be worried, in the presence of at least this one nice boy, about not coming off all clean and shiny? She can be a little off, a little messy, say the wrong things, etc. in front of Eddie, she’s realizing. If freaks are free to be themselves without hiding from the world, then maybe she’d like to be one after all.
4. Eddie invites her to his band’s show. I can perfectly picture her there in bright clothing, shiny makeup, and perfect hair, just looking so out of place. But she’d go and she’d have fun and Eddie would introduce her to all his band mates, plus the 5 drunks. Eventually, she’d start dressing less preppy, as a result of finding her own true personal style, not dictated by her mom or cheer or Jason.
5. Eddie tries to come off really cool but you can tell he’s probably admired Chrissy from afar for a bit. He knew she was “Queen of Hawkins High” and therefore not even worth a try, but where girls such as herself might become rude from that type of popularity, I think he’s always known that she’s a genuinely nice person. She hasn’t been corrupted by the reputation. It’s why he likes her (ok and she’s cute as a button). That’s why he pretends to fall over because she doesn’t remember him, and mentions how they’ve “hung out” in the past. He wants to put himself on her radar: past, present and future.
In conclusion, why would the Duffer Brothers give us so much, yet so little.

Haven’t drawn (or done much of anything except work) in months but I watched season 4, saw a few minutes of great chemistry between these two, and found myself quite enjoying yet another doomed ship. Y'know, as I do

i looved the final stranger things episode!! especially when eddie and chrissy got to graduate together and she went to his concert and they made out at the backstage!! just loved it!!
