Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing ok. Just wanted to check on everyone since we got the sad news about Chuck yesterday. I had a very emotional reaction to it.. literally had to stop reading several times and then had a meltdown after making the post here and felt tired and drained the rest of the day, still kind of in that headspace today… so yeah I just wanted to share some links to places I found in case anyone needs them for themselves or a friend who might need them. I also want to add that If you don’t see info for a place near you I encourage you to search, if you took the time to search here that means you are willing and strong enough to look for support and I totally urge you to find it. We all need help and there’s no shame in looking for it outside your close circle. Embrace who you are and remember your mental health does not define you- it’s just a part of what makes you, you. I love y’all, you matter.
Like many of you, we were shocked and saddened to read the news of Chuck’s sudden passing. Our hearts ache for the Criss family. While we cannot ease their pain, we wanted to do something to honor Chuck’s memory. He brought us such joy through his music and the obvious delight he and Darren took in each other and in making music together.
In his heartfelt tribute to Chuck on Instagram, Darren encouraged anyone who might be struggling to seek support. Mental Health America offers resources to find such support for yourself or to help a loved one. It is our hope that contributions made in Chuck’s memory might assist in preventing another family from suffering a similar tragedy.
