A ribald medieval street scene by Co Loerakker (previously), panel from “Van Nul tot Nu” (”From Zero to Now”) written by Thom Roep, a regular feature about Dutch history in Disney’s Dutch Donald Duck magazine from 1982-87. This eventually was adopted for use in some schools and certainly is more engaging than some history texts I was assigned to read. Comic shop Lambiek in Amsterdam has an excellent article about Loerakker and this strip in their Comiclopedia site.
