Cold Brew Coffee Syrup
Ingredients:
- Medium dark coffee (ground medium fine)
- Water
Method:
- Follow the Cold Brewed Coffeerecipe.
- When you have the cold brew, pour into a saucepan.
- Gently heat until just simmering.
- Reduce until about half/third the volume remains remains.
- Pour into a jar and allow to cool. Seal and refrigerate (can be stored in the fridge for a week).
Alternate Method:
- Follow the Cold Brewed Coffee recipe.
- When you have the cold brew, pour into a saucepan.
- Add half coffee volume of sugar.
- Gently heat until just simmering.
- Stir to dissolve sugar.
- Reduce until about half/third the volume remains remains.
- Pour into a jar and allow to cool. Seal and refrigerate (can be stored in the fridge for a week).
Can be used as the basis for sauces/cake icing or making into coffee (or freeze into ice cubes to go in iced coffee).
