Our late night artist is Kay Singleton. We took a poke around her website and we encourage you to give it a look around too! Some very stark and catching portraits. Enough from us here’s a word from Kay. In the past she was displayed at the Steel City Art Gallery on Union in Pueblo, Colorado. “Hi. I’m Kay Singleton, from Pueblo.
I draw and paint all different stuff -with all different stuff (oil, pastel, charcoal, etc). More can be seen at www.kaysingletonart.com.” Thanks Kay for sharing.

Next up we feature the intricate pen work of our own Nick Naglich (@nnaglich). It’s well worth the read on his type of art and how he makes his art….

I like to call my art style Keltic Knot inking. Because it’s not the traditional Celtic knot work people are used to seeing but a more rigid and edgy variant of it. I started drawing them over 5 years ago when I was prescribed Medical Marijuana for a chronic digestive illness. Each piece takes 10s of 100s of hours depending of size and complexity of the knots. Some are colored using markers or pencils but I typically tend to leave them black and white. I’ve never sold a piece and feel they have more value as gifts to people and businesses I care about. Since each piece takes so long I like to meditate on positive thoughts for the people they are to be given to and like to refer to my art as a form of meditation. Over the years I’ve evolved the style with different sizes, colors, and shading. I love each piece I frame or give away and usually throw away or burn the ones with mistakes.

“God’s dial pad”
14x11in
Ink & Charcoal
This was my first piece to incorporate an over under pattern made out of knots. It took ~75 hours to complete. On Instagram find Nick
