Got a little treat for you today! Sometime a couple weeks ago, I got the itch to do some coding and started programming the First Stay demo. Here’s a shot of actual user input and the result! I did most of the intro, but obviously, there’s no pictures, sound, anything else since I haven’t gotten that stuff done yet. The software I’m using, Ren’py, does most of the basic functions for you, so you can see how easy it is to jump in and make a visual novel, even if you don’t have images.
However, only the demo is going to be in visual novel format. I intend for the full version of Come on Inn to be a combo of management sim/dating sim. I have quite a bit to learn until I can bring that to life, though, and I need a new PC first to run the game engine I have in mind for it. But that’s fine, since I have a ton of art assets to work on now!
Can’t really preview this particular image of the first dining hall design so here’s the full thing, while Patrons get a clearer view of the 3D layout mock-up underneath the sketch. This definitely made sketching around the bench tables easier!
YOOO it’s like three days like but here’s this week’s WIPW!! I had a lot of running around going on this week so I didn’t have time until today to sit down and actually do anything.
