Ok so your soft spots have a lot in common with mine I guess because parts of this were a little self indulgent, living the fantasy I guess. And that hug was definitely self indulgent. I mean the thought of him grabbing my clothes as I turn away because he just has to hold me one more time… I want that so bad!
I know what you mean about the crying, like it’s almost therapeutic. Those cries are good cries.
Yeah, I guess in other circumstances, Sy would have asked her out on the spot. But I liked the idea that maybe he didn’t because he saw that his sister liked her and he didn’t want to mess up her friendship if anything went wrong. Like Sy respected his sister enough, not to put his needs first. I sort of had in my head that he had broached the subject with his sister and she had said to go for it, but I didn’t end up including it.
I went to an all girls school, so my high school experience was very different in relation to crushes since we didn’t know all the same boys etc. My first proper crush was on a delivery boy at the pharmacy I worked at after school
