Rereading shards of honor I realized how much Cordelia and Miles think alike when in a rough place. Especially looking at early Miles and Cordelia escaping Beta.
The beating up of that therapist and the crazy stories Cordelia came up with to trick her way off planet (with a very new pilot Artie Mayhew) is very miles. Especially the one who spun crazy stories to help both Baz and Mayhew and then his wild gaining of the dendarri.
Miles just had to follow through instead of running from all the repercussions of his stories.
So Really Miles gets it from his mom.
