Our current Tumblr Creates! challenge follows the theme of one of our styles - Kitsch - so we thought we should show you all how it could translate to interior design ✨
here’s my entry for the @cyberpunkgame monthly challenge! i knew i wanted to create an original character for one of the gangs, and after doing a bit of research, the tyger claws were my choice!
there wasn’t a ton of concrete visual reference for the tyger claws at the time, so i had fun with taking extra creative liberties with certain design elements. roughly 12 hours later over the span of 4 days, and here’s kato’s finished design! i ended up incorporating a few elements we’ve already seen to make him feel more familiar to night city (such as the jacket pads seen on another tyger claws member, the neck detail seen on other tyger claws, the face mask design based off of the tyger claws logo, and the katana design from a female v render).
this is definitely the most time and effort i’ve put into any piece, and i genuinely hope it shows. i have a lot of passion for the cyberpunk 2077 universe already, and i know i’m not alone even just from looking at the rest of the entries (seriously, you choombas are all so creative)!

Honestly all the gangs are so cool it was hard to pick which one to focus on! I ended up going with that Tyger Claw guy from the steelbooks(who had to get recolored once I saw he was in the lore book) I’ve been working on this all month on and off, then practically forced myself to make a background since I almost never do those

Right after revealing the theme for this month’s challenge, I knew I have to participate. THE GANGS! (My personal favourite is definitely Tiger Claws as I love Japanese culture. With their glowing neon tattoos and bikes and katanas… ah, so cool…)
It was awesome to gather more info about each gang and think about how to properly portray them.
I’m so happy there is still AAA game developer as you guys, at CDPR. Trying to give us the best of the best you can deliver, I’m really grateful… even for the delays ;D Keep up the awesome work!
Also I’m so happy I finished this on time, as I kinda wasn’t sure which way to go from the base concept. Only thing I’m a bit concerned about is maybe the f##k ton of colours I used, as my original plan was to keep the pictures separate XD but Night City is all full of colours, so it kinda looks good, amiright?
