So I saw the Berlin Tanz Der Vampire boot and got inspired by the sheer dilfness of Krolock, so here’s a lil fic

Summary: When Sarah announces that she’s leaving because Count Von Krolock ended things with her, Alfred starts to investigate the reason why the Count keeps inviting young girls to the ball, and this eventually leads to the Count telling him about Herbert’s mother.

Everyone should read this because it’s very good

My one wish is to find a bootleg of- I think it’s the Hungarian production?

There’s an utterly G E N I U S scene that perfectly mirrors the scene in the musical where Sarah is enjoying a bath Alfred tries to convince her to escape the castle with him and the Prof:

As you know, in the scene following Sarah and Alfreds talk in the bathroom, Alfred goes back to the library to meet with the Prof again, and then we get the scene between Herbert and Alfred.

At first you have Bertie luring Alfred away from the library with the three-note song Sarah usually sings. You know, business as usual…but in the Hungarian production, when Alfie gets to the bathroom, Herbert is about to step out of the bath.

I can’t gush enough about how this perfectly shows the juxtaposition between Sarah and Herberts characters - it really rings home the similarities they have, and how Herbert is of course a perfect foil for Sarah.

I know I’ve said perfect a lot in this post but I just can’t help it - this concept, this idea, whatever you call it - as a writer I absolutely love it!! ^^

Okay, so I’m not entirely sure it’s the Hungarian version…

I just remember reading about this scene from a review written by a fan, but I simply cannot remember which production they mentioned >.<

If any one knows the production I’m talking about, please let me know!!!

Hey there! This is the St Gallen production and I have a video of the full show if you’re interested!

I have the scene you’re talking about uploaded on YouTube too :)

Hello fans of Tanz der Vampire!

I’m not sure if there are many active Tanz discords out there so I’ve decided to make one of my own. If you are interested, please DM me or like this post and I shall send you the link.

Anyone and everyone is welcome! :)

I can’t wait for Tumblr to find out about the Dracula ballet.

Or worse: Jim Steinman’s Dance of the Vampires
