Just so you know, the fact that I went all mushy about these two is because there was a whole build up of the chemistry which gave that first scene a whole other layer in my eyes, without it I wouldn’t think twice about it.
A few fragments throughout the novel, mostly Guo Changcheng being all starry eyed about “his” Chu-Ge but also Chu Shuzhi showing some affection:
