Steph & Jason are both very well read & can often be seen either reading or referencing various works of literature.
Steph has referenced Philip K. Dick in casual conversation while Jason has referenced Shakespeare’s Richard III, their love of literary references goes back quite a bit with each of their characters with Pre Crisis Jason referencing reading Moby Dick & Steph stating her love for the Great Gatsby back in her original Batgirl run.
When they both had to spend time in prison (for various reason) they both spent their time reading classic lit with Steph reading The Dispossessed & Jason reading Pride & Prejudice
Jason has referenced both Alexander Dumas & George Orwell & Steph has been able to directly quote the Odyssey & has mentioned that Dracula is her favourite book
