We did a thing.
We actually did a series of fun, crazy things!
It was a MARRIAGE and MONASTERY weekend.✝️
We got invited to a wedding in Oklahoma City of a couple we’d never met by our new friends from Tulsa, Diana and Walker Hanson [and had the privilege beforehand of meeting their 3 gracious and warm sons who are in a band, Hanson, at their 3CG Studios].
The bride and groom, @nbright and @kriscamera, were actually excited to have us added in at the last minute to join them for their celebration. So here we are meeting them at their reception for the first time and we instantly connected. [I’ve never done anything like this in my life…so now Ken and I can add “wedding crashers,“ to our resumes!♀️♥️♂️]
Ken and I had a number of amazing conversations at the wedding, one of my favorites being with @andreawalters who was stunning in her gorgeous gown—and is equally stunning on the inside. And during our enlivening conversation, we discovered that we both love our mutual friend @tiffanythurston. Such a small world!
Then we spent the night at a monastery with Diana and Walker, and this morning we celebrated an Easter service, Orthodox style. That was also a first!
Here’s to doing spontaneous new things in a new part of the country where I’m meeting lovely people one by one.♥️

Big Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Bright!! Love the Brights❤️ Beautiful couple inside and out!!!
So crazy to think that first time I ever met @kriscamera was over 20 years ago in Uppsala Sweden, at Bible Collage at @livetsord . I was in the Swedish class, she was in the international class. We graduated, she went back to US, I went back to Norway and never thought our paths would ever cross again. Sure enough our paths crossed again 10 years later in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Random running in to each other in church. Since then we been friends now for 10+ years and she’s working at the same production company as my husband. It is so special and so exciting celebrating this big day with @kriscamera and @nbright !
Big Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Bright. We love you.
(The bow pic: Kristian trusted me enough to ask if I could sew her a blue bow for her evening gown, it was an honor, and thanks girl for trusting me with that task. )
