‘I’ve always been interested in directing since I was quite young. I love this level of creative control and creative decision making.. I also love the collaboration you can then be completely a part of that you can’t in the same way as an actor. I was always shaping a perspective that felt a little bit more viewed in a sort of storytelling way. I think that’s leaned into a lot of my creativity.’ -Director Alycia Debnam-Carey
danaygarcia1I just have to celebrate this moment with my feartwd family. Dedicating this post to ma girl Alycia who directed tonight’s episode “Ofelia”. Your commitment and generosity is simply amazing. Thank you for the great time. Love you so much. Now let’s do it again!

alyciajasmin Tonight is the night. I can’t really explain how much it means that I get to share my directorial debut with you all.
It was a wild ride and a trial by fire. One that demanded new world building, huge set pieces, 3 working cameras (one of which was always on a crane), emotional story telling and intense conditions. (Notably some terrible wasps) But It was the most exhilarating and rewarding experience.
This cast, this crew; are family and offered the most extraordinary support, love and guidance on an episode that demanded a lot.
Thank you to Michael Satrazemis being my mentor and same same. My incredible cast Danay Garcia, Ruben Blades, Colby Hollman, and Spencer Granese. And a crew that lifted me up through it all. Thank you for everything.
I can’t wait for you all to see tonight’s episode and I am so excited for this new chapter I get to explore.
