Your body is seated on the black motorbike, legs hanging on both sides of the seat as your lips vehemently move against his. Bodies pressed together as your breaths come in contact with each other’s faces, your ambrosial smell mixing with his malodorous one.

He knows what he wants to say, but he doesn’t know how to word it.

You see, Lee Donghyuck is an enigmatic man. He is cryptic, arcane, precariously intoxicating. And yet; he doesn’t know how to express himself, doesn’t have enough confidence to pour out his feelings.

Though, he most certainly does have the confidence to recklessly risk his life on a simple motorbike.

He always leaves you hanging, leaves you craving more of him romantically every time you two meet. He does know that, which always makes him wonder when you are going to leave him.

He is never certain with you. Or at least, he acts like he isn’t.

He is insecure. Insecure that you will leave him once you find better. Because he is- indeed- very sure that you deserve way better.

You originate from pearls and silk pajamas. Having to have been surrounded by successful businessmen and women, actors and models all your life; Lee Donghyuck isn’t exactly someone inside your circle.

Your circle, for instance, consists of acquaintances from your private school who are where they are today thanks to the privilege coming from their parents. Whether it is because of the connections they have or the companies they hand down.

As fucked up as it sounds, he doesn’t want to ruin that. He doesn’t want to ruin you.

Though, he already feels like he did.

“I think I like you.”

Those words, whispered into his lips by you make him stop all his actions; frozen at the sudden confession. They leave your lips so easily, so effortlessly. Everything that escapes away from your lips sounds so pretty to his ears.

Of course, he likes you too. So much more than he would ever admit to anyone. There is no doubt in that. But he is scared, scared of losing you when he never even had you in the first place.

You have been there for him the whole time. Even when he leaves you without any certainty, when he backs off from a simple hug just because he is afraid.

And at that moment, after putting in so much thought into you and his feelings; he decides to be selfish for once.

Well, maybe he has always been selfish. In order to not have his own heart falling apart, he messed with yours. He broke your heart, to not have his own broken.

“I think i like you too.” He whispers back, allowing your breath to hitch at the confession. A burning feeling captivating you as you try your hardest to recollect yourself.

After gathering yourself back together, you give the Lee the prettiest smile he has seen in this life. Your smile is enough to light up his whole world, and it does brighten up his world whenever he has the privilege of witnessing it. You give him a soft laughter, which comes off as harmonious melodies to his ears. It is enough for anyone to find the slightest delight in. And Donghyuck finds so much more delight in it than he probably should.

When he properly thinks about it, he orbits around you. Lee Donghyuck’s entire life, his well being revolves around you and your happiness. So maybe, just maybe, you really are his sun.

And he thinks; perhaps, he will always hold a candle for you. Even if it burns his hand.
