Interesting and difficult to compare to other novels. I loved the banter between the MCs, but they didn’t feel as “war-hardened” as you would expect people in their line of business to be. This feels like it would make a great pilot to a show all about these two characters and the locations that their careers take them – with Castle-like tension and adventures, but with more death, probably. Short chapters, combined with alternating POV, made for a quick, well-paced read. I dig it.
