Transitioning into Eddy’s flashback, he is walking home from school. He is wearing a dunce hat. As he mentioned he had a destination that day. Wow, he had a detention, but Ed didn’t.

Eddy grumbles about the teachers.

I feel that the teachers in the Peach Creek school system judge Eddy before they get to know him due to the history with his brother. Eddy doesn’t like that and it ruined how he feels about himself.

Eddy already has a low self esteem issue which he keeps secret, but this adds to the reason on why he dislikes school. Then again, Eddy doesn’t even try. Eddy is a very intelligent person which he refuses to show.

Also, this is a chance to see Eddy by himself for a short time. As the movie revealed, Eddy has been hiding under a mask. He is an angry person because he chose to be that way instead of being his own person.
