I never knew a pain like this existed, never knew far my heart would fall, and how big of hole would be left behind. Every place, every thing, every person all have pieces of her engrained in my mind. I know that as time passes those memories won’t hurt me as they do now, but that journey seems a world away and I don’t even know where the first step is. I knew we wouldn’t have forever, but I was nowhere near prepared. Life seems surreal, pain feels unbearable, and I keep hoping I’m going to wake up from this devastating nightmare. Wake up in a place where my heart isn’t in pieces, with her in my arms, and we have all the time in the world to go on another edventure.
